Every design is performed with the proper permits and according to your local building code. We also take into account wind-load requirements.

Acquiring a Solar Age residential photovoltaic system not only saves you money, but it is one of the best contributions you can make to the on-going global warming crisis. It yields a quicker return on your money than many other investment options, usually anywhere between 10% and 17% annually. (each system varies)

The Solar Age Home follows this typical design:

solar_panel_rooftop11. Solar Modules
Solar modules in the roof or ground of your property convert sunlight into DC power.

2. Inverter
The power is sent to a device called an INVERTER or power converter, which converts the DC power into AC power, identical to that being sent to you from the utility grid.

3. Electrical Panel
Power travels from your inverter to your electrical service panel (breaker box). The power from the electrical panel will be distributed to any electrical loads (appliances, light fixtures, receptacles) in your home.

4. Utility Meter
When excess power is produced by the solar generating system, the power will flow into the grid through your electric meter. This will cause your meter to run backwards gaining you a credit with the utility company.

5. Utility Grid
The utility grid automatically provides electricity when needed at night and during the day when your demand is higher.
