PV—PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM RESIDENTIAL INSTALLATIONS STATE OF FLORIDA  $ 4 per Watt installed (STC Rating)

PV System must be rated at minimum 2000 Watts (2KW) – STC Rating Systems must meet any local jurisdiction applicable building codes. The Installed cost of this system will NOT increase the base value of your home for tax  purposes, and it will increase its market value by approximately 1.5 times the cost of the system installed. (Fla. Sta. 196.175).

FEDERAL TAX GRANTS  30% SOLAR COMMERCIAL ONLY

AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REEINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009

Under Section 1603 of the ARRA tax act of 2009(Section 1603), the US Treasury makes payments to eligible persons who place in service specified energy property and apply for such payments. The purpose of the payment is to reimburse eligible applicants for a portion of the expense of such property. Eligible property under this program includes only property described in section 25C of the IRC(Internal Revenue Code)and residential energy efficient property described in section 25D of the IRC do not qualify for payments under this program but may qualify for tax credits under these provisions.

Section 1603 of the Act’s tax title, appropiates funds for payments to persons who place in service specified energy property during 2009 and 2010 or if construction began on the property during 2009 and 2010 and the property is placed in service by a certain date known as the credit termination date. Treasury will make Section 1603 payments to qualified applicants in an amount generally equal to 10% or 30% of the basis of the property, depending on the type of property.

Applications may only be submitted after the property to which the application relates is placed in service, or is under construction. All applications must be received before the statutory deadline of October 1, 2011.

 30% INCOME TAX CREDIT FOR RESIDENTIAL INSTALLATIONS

In addition to State rebates and incentives, the Federal government offers a 30% Federal tax credit on solar power systems for residential energy property bought and installed.This credit is to be utilized to off-set Income tax for the tax year the installation is finished, or a portion of it. The credit income tax credit may be rolled over 4 years or can be claimed for taxes paid the previous year.
